Provisional Licence

The form you need is:- Form D1, application for a driving licence which is available at Post Offices and from the DVLA. You can also book online through the direct.gov. click here

Although you can't drive until you're 17 you can get hold of your provisional licence whilst you are still 16 but it will not become valid until you reach your 17th birthday.

Once you have your provisional licence and reach the age of 17 (or a week or two before) give me a call to book your first proper driving lesson, on 07906 136 826

Theory Test

The driving theory test has two parts, part one is a multiple choice test and part two is a hazard perception test. The DSA recommends about 10 hours reading from the following books to achieve test standard:-

Driving Test

The test will last about 40 minutes and includes a variety of road and traffic conditions (in and out of town), you'll be asked to complete two of the four manoeuvres you have learned and maybe even an emergency stop.
